Hallowe'en in the OCQ 2019

There will be several Hallowe'en events happening throughout the OCQ this October! Join us for one or all, of the SPOOKTACULAR family friendly activities!

MINI CORN MAZE IN WESLEY SQUARE ~ Saturday October 19th 2pm-8pm at 335 Wesley Street. With donations of straw bales, corn stalks and pumpkins from McNab's Corn Maze we will constructing a MINI corn maze for all to enjoy, starting at 2pm until 8pm. This event is free to attend and we ask that all children under 12 be accompanied by an adult and all dogs on a leash.

"MONSTER HOUSE" MOVIE NIGHT ~ Sunday October 20th 4pm-6pm at Coach & Horses (Upstairs) at 321 Selby Street. This will be a matinee showing of Monster House! Wear your P.J's and bring a pillow and cozy up to this fun Hallowe'en movie, safe for all ages! Light refreshments will be served. RSVP to marketing@oldcityquarter.com Space is limited!

TRICK' R TREAT IN THE OCQ! Saturday October 26th 11am-3pm. Look for the Black & Orange balloons of the businesses that will be participating all throughout the Old City Quarter!

WITCHES & WIZARDS FLASH MOB and DANCE PARTY 12pm-3pm at 321 Wesley Street. Hosted by Lobelia's Lair Metaphysical Treasures, all Witches and Wizards are invited to participate and are encouraged to watch the video (link below) of the ORIGINAL Witches Dance and learn the moves at home! Followed by a all Hallowe'en music Dance Party!

Sounds of Summer in the OCQ!

Join us every Friday at Noon in the OCQ for live music by local musicians!

Starting Friday, June 7th, for the month of June #soundsofsummerintheOCQ will be held at Fitzwilliam Gate, July will be at Wesley Square and for the month of August it will be in the Heritage Mews.

Grab a beverage or enjoy lunch from one the many eateries in the Old City Quarter. All ages are invited for this free event, and even the pups are welcome to enjoy!

Aunti Bobbi Inspirational Children's Entertainer will thrill the crowd with her "Easter Funny Hop!" There will be singing & dancing and animal balloons too!

Historic Old City Quarter Walking Tour & Treasure Trail. Ali Mowbray will lead 3 tours, starting at 12pm, 1pm & 2pm departing and ending in the Heritage Mews. This relaxed and easy paced tour will explore the OCQ's unique history & culture and get your treasure at the end of the trail! Accessible for all physical levels.

Coloring Contest! Show us your artistic skills and be entered to win an OCQ gift basket!

There will also be facepainting done by Faeriewhale Facepainting and a special appearance from THE EASTER BUNNY!! 🐰

Halloween in the OCQ 2018

Stop by the OCQ on Sat Oct. 20th from 12-3pm to pre-register & pick up your pumpkin. On Saturday October 27th bring your carved pumpkin back to the OCQ to be judged!
Pumpkins are being graciously donated from McNab's Corn Maze and the cost to register is $5 with proceeds being donated to The Mens Centre.

Carved pumpkins will be judged on 2 categories;
🎃 Best Kids (under 12)
🎃 Best Overall
There will be some amazing prizes to be won, so get creative and show us your BEST pumpkin carving skills!

*All skill levels are welcome*

Join us in the OCQ for a DAY OF SPOOKTACULAR FUN!
Children of all ages are invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes and Trick R Treat in the OCQ on Saturday, October 27th between 12-3pm!
Look for the participating businesses that have Black & Orange balloons displayed!

🧙‍♀️🧙‍♂️ Join the Old City Quarter and Lobelia's Lair Metaphysical Treasures for a WITCHES Flash Mob Dance in the Heritage Mews! All Witches and Wizards are invited to participate and are encouraged to watch the video (link below) of the ORIGINAL Witches Dance and learn the moves at home!
There will be a "High Priestess" leading the Coven so please don't fret if you don't have time to learn the moves, they are super simple and it is all in good FUN! Dress in your BEST Witch attire and DON'T FORGET YOUR BROOM!

Halloween in the OCQ

Free Trick or Treating

Join us with your little ones in the Old City Quarter for free trick or treating! Wear your Halloween best! 

Participating businesses will have black and orange balloons outside with candy for friends 12 and under. You can seen a full list of businesses we know are participating at bottom of the post. 

Canine Costume Extravaganza!

Hauntingly hosted outside OCQ’s Woofles Barking Boutique, your costumed fur babies are invited to join in the Halloween fun! From 11-1pm, costumed canines (and any other pets!) will receive a free treat. Plus, Mark Corbett from Pet Pixels Photography will be on-site snapping photos of your furry little monster. Don’t miss out on this boo-tiful opportunity to include your four-legged family members in the festivities!
